I created it because I couldn’t find what I was looking for.
The Tiny Society grew out of both my background in early childhood education and a feeling that something was missing. The idea first came to me nearly ten years ago, when I was working as a nanny in Los Angeles. I had this picture in my head of what the early years could feel like…
Biblical knowledge and virtues.
Poetry.
Classical music.
Real art.
A little French.
Crafting, creating.
Movement and play.
And have it put together in beautiful cohesive way that could be easily executed by a busy mother. When I looked for something that brought it all together, I couldn’t find it. There is plenty of curricula. There are activity boxes, lesson plans, endless reels and Pinterest pins.
But nothing like this.
So, I created what I wished existed.
Toddlers don’t need to be rushed into academics, letter identification and counting.
The Tiny Society wasn’t created because moms need one more thing to do.
Toddlers need a childhood full of stories, ideas, music, movement, and time to explore.
And I think we can be intentional about those things without turning it into something else we have to manage as mothers. That is the heart behind The Tiny Society. Each month has one theme, with our eight foundational pillars throughout.
Thoughtfully chosen and designed for you.
Because toddlers are curious by nature. I think of them as little scientists — always watching, wondering, testing, and trying to understand the world around them. They want to be part of our world. They want to help, to listen, to make, to discover. We simply have to invite them in.
The Tiny Society was created around that belief.
Each month offers a simple framework for bringing more beauty, connection, and intention into ordinary days — built around our eight foundational pillars: scripture, living literature, poetry, real music, art, nature, foreign language, and play.
I hope you love it just as much as I do!
Warmly,
Allie Mustafa
